Objection Handling

Complete objection handling guide — platform fees, NISM/ARN, process, product, and brokerage objections with ready responses.

Platform Fee Objections

“Why should I pay platform fees?”

Experience it first (demo + small SIP). The fee filters quality partners. It’s refundable within 180 days. You get a Growth Kit worth ₹5,000, an AI platform that big firms pay lakhs for, and a dedicated RM.

“How much is the platform fee?”

ARN holders: ₹1,999 + GST = ₹2,358.82. Non-ARN: ₹3,999 + GST = ₹4,718.82. Non-ARN includes NISM exam fee (1st attempt) + training. The platform fee of ₹1,999 is refundable within 180 days.

“What is the Premium Growth Kit?”

Worth ₹5,000, delivered in 15-20 business days: Laptop bag, certificate, business cards, financial planner, SIP calculator, guidebook, equity brochures.

NISM & ARN Objections

“Is NISM exam necessary?”

Yes, it’s a SEBI regulation. But you can start with insurance, bonds, PMS while preparing. Training provided (7-9 PM), study materials + mocks, RM guides you throughout.

“What is the ARN process?”

4 steps: 1) Empanel with Wealthy 2) NISM training + exam 3) ARN registration on AMFI (₹3,000+GST, paid by partner) 4) ARN in 7-10 days → attach to Wealthy. Total: 4-5 weeks.

“I’m 55+, do I need NISM?”

Grandfathering applies: 50+ age as on 31 May 2010 → CPE (full day, 6 hours) instead of exam. 10+ years MF distribution experience as on 31 May 2010 → CPE. RM helps determine eligibility.

“NISM re-exam fee?”

₹1,500 + GST paid to NISM. Wealthy covers 1st attempt only. No limit on attempts.

“ARN validity & renewal?”

Valid 3 years. Renewal: Complete CPE hours + pay ₹1,500+GST. Renew within 30 days before expiry. No re-exam if maintained properly.

Process Objections

“How long to start MF business?”

ARN holders: Immediately! Non-ARN: 4-5 weeks (Week 1-2: NISM prep, Week 3: exam, Week 4: ARN application, Week 5: attach to Wealthy and start).

“Need demat for MF?”

No! MFs are held directly with AMC in client’s name. No demat needed. Simpler and more secure.

“Can I track external investments?”

Yes! Use the Tracker feature: Send link → client provides PAN access → view their ENTIRE portfolio (Groww, Zerodha, NJ, etc.) → suggest alternatives → migrate under your ARN.

“Can I submit physical applications?”

Yes, at 25+ branches. But try digital first — many hesitant partners now love the convenience. RM provides hands-on training.

“Can I leave Wealthy later?”

Yes! NOC provided, smooth transition, no lock-in, no hidden conditions. We’re a partner-centric organization.

“Are there sales targets?”

No rigid targets. Work at your own pace. Expectation: engage actively, attend training, 2-3 hours/day. RM provides guidance.

“Is client money safe?”

Clients invest directly with AMCs (SBI MF, HDFC MF, etc.). Wealthy facilitates but doesn’t hold funds. Units are in the client’s name. SEBI-regulated. Bank-grade security.

“Is training mandatory?”

Not mandatory but highly recommended. Markets evolve, platform updates, business strategies, networking — all covered in training sessions.

Product Objections

“I know nothing about MFs”

Full training provided. Comprehensive basic training, product knowledge, sales strategies. RM accompanies your initial calls. Many top partners started with zero knowledge.

“Are MFs safe?”

SEBI regulated, diversified, professionally managed, transparent. Risks exist (market, credit, liquidity) but are mitigated through diversification, SIP, and long-term approach.

“Why bonds/FDs when MFs give better returns?”

Both have their place. Bonds/FDs are for risk management, capital preservation, short-term goals, and guaranteed income. Ideal: Mix both based on client goals and risk appetite.

“Can I work MF only?”

Yes! But recommend diversifying. MF earnings take time to build (AUM growth). Insurance provides immediate income. Clients need comprehensive solutions — if you don’t offer, they go elsewhere.

“Can clients withdraw anytime?”

Open-ended funds: Yes (may have exit loads). Close-ended funds: At maturity. Tax implications apply.

Brokerage Objections

“Share brokerage with Wealthy?”

Don’t focus on rates — look at absolute income. Our partners grow AUM 59% vs industry 23% (3x faster). Even a slightly lower rate × 3x growth = much higher income. Cross-sell adds more.

“How does Wealthy make money?”

Distribution fees from AMCs/insurance companies. We retain a small portion and pass the larger portion to partners. We make money only when you make money.

“Is brokerage inclusive of GST?”

Yes, MF brokerage is inclusive of GST. If you have a GST number, it’s shown separately.

“Do clients pay charges?”

No charges to Wealthy or the partner. Only standard TER charged by AMC (included in NAV).

“Will brokerage rates stay the same?”

May decrease over time across the industry. BUT: Today 1% on ₹10Cr = ₹10L. Future 0.8% on ₹50Cr = ₹40L. Focus on building AUM — absolute income matters, not the rate.

“Payout frequency?”

Two cycles: 15th and 30th of every month. Direct to your registered bank account.

“Direct plans save brokerage, why invest with me?”

Direct plans lack personalization, ongoing management, emotional support, and comprehensive service. Your guidance prevents panic selling and keeps clients on track. That’s worth far more than the small commission difference.

ARN Partner Specific Objections

“Don’t want to pay fees”

Try a demo first. Fee is refundable. Growth Kit alone is worth ₹5,000. Think of it as ROI — one client pays it back many times over.

“How is brokerage vs others?”

Don’t compare single schemes. Look at the broad range + cross-sell + support = 3x faster AUM growth = higher absolute income.

“Want to work directly with AMC”

Single platform for 45+ AMCs, multiple product categories, strong RM support. Example: A partner went from 0 to ₹60Cr AUM in 4 years with Wealthy.

“Looking for software solution”

Wealthy is software + support + products + partnership. Just software gives you a tool; Wealthy gives you an ecosystem.

“Already joined another platform”

Don’t replace — ADD Wealthy. Many partners work with multiple platforms. Try a demo, start small, compare the experience.
